Project not getting saved

O

Oludan

I am having trouble with a particular Microsoft project plan. We are on
Project Server 2007 and I am using Microsoft Project 2007 professional on
Windows XP Pro.

Lately, I have being unable to save my changes to ghant chart view, and
whatever data I try to save. REsouces enter their time via OWA to this
project, and I have acccepted the tiemsheet, but the timeshees data are not
getting populated in this project.

Now the ghant chart view that I have has multiple duplicates columns such as
duplicate start/finish dates, duration, actual work, work, actual cost, cost,
and resources column. whenever I tried to hide columns to fix the view, it
worked until next time I open the project then I have to fix it over again.

Questions:
1. Any idea why this could be happening?
2. If I copy the tasks from that project and paste into a new project, will
that mess up the project server or anything in the Enterprise? And, will
resources still be able to enter time against the new project?

Thanks.

Hi Oludan,

I can only speculate to why you have this issue, but it sounds like the
project schedule is currupt.

The first thing I would try is clear your local cash, but deleteing all
subfolders under your local cash folder, then try to re-save again and see if
this works
Let me know

I having the same problem too, a lot of duplicate columns and i clean watever
cache, i still face the same problem. It seem worse come to worse copy to a
new project file, i not sure whether this can solve the problem or not.
