Project Offline. Cannot synchronize data to server.

Hello!

We receive the following problem when we work on our projectplans and
trying to save or publish the plans.

In the statusbar there is a message "Project Offline. Cannot
synchronize data to server.", but it is not in the state "Work
Offline". It is "Connected".

How could it be that the project is offline, but we are connected to
the server.

Why is the Project Offline"? What does it mean?

I student of mine had this problem last week when she was connected to
Project Server over a VPN connection that failed and disconnected. So,
here's my followup question: Is everyone having this problem or only one
person? Do you have this problem on every project or only one project? Let
us know.

I too am having the same issue. The symtoms are the same for me, and we also
are using 2007. It doesn't affect all users, but it is sporadic in affecting
several project managers. There is no VPN connection to the project server
for our users. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
