Project Plan assignments don't get published to PWA

I have a Project Manager that has tried several times to publish his project
plan and the assignments never get published to the PWA timesheets. He
originally published the plan with the publish all information option and
nothing happened. I had him try to republish assignments and we got the
message that the plan would be saved but we don't get the next dialogue box
where you can choose to limit what gets published and you can turn off the
notifications from the screen as well. I checked his permissions and he
should be able to publish the plan so I as the Administrator tried to publish
the plan and the same thing happened to me. All the settings in PWA seem to
be correct and I checked the Coloborate options in MSP and they are correct
so I'm not sure why we are having this problem. Do you have any ideas as to
what I should check next? Any help would be appreciated

The resources may have a booking type of "Proposed" instead of "Committed".
While in the project, go to a view that shows standard resource fields (like
Resource Sheet), insert the column of Booking Type and if any resources are
set to "Proposed" - switch them to Committed and re-publish.

Also, you might want to check the Enterprise Resource Pool definition for
your resources. It contains the DEFAULT booking type which sets the value of
this field when you initially build a team. You want these to be committed
instead of proposed.

Hope this helps.

Marylou:

Also check your server application event log and let us know if you see
corresponding errors.

Scott's suggestion is the first place to look. Before looking at the logs as
Gary suggested I've had PM's and users complain of not seeing tasks in their
timesheet but they were using the Current Tasks view (correct) and the
assignments were a month into the future, therefore outside the Current Tasks
setting.

I have checked the booking type and it is correct and did not see any errors.
The plan needed to be published so what the PM did was recreate the plan. I
found out that the plan that he was working on had been made from a copy, of
a copy of a template and the other PMs had the same trouble with their plans
and never reported it so It was best just to start over.
