Project Portfolio Analyzer

Gary

I have created an OLAP cube and am now trying to utilize the Portfolio
Analyzer view as an administrator / team member. I get an error that states
"There are no Portfolio Analyzer views to display. The Project Server
administrator has not assigned Portfolio Analyzer views for you to view.
Contact your Project Server administrator to get permission to view Portfolio
Analyzer view". I have permissions to view the Portfolio Analyzer, but am
still unable to. I even took off the team member account. Is there a step
that I missed.

Gary,

Have you followed all the instructions from the Microsoft Office Project
Server 2003 Installation Guide - Chapter 8 Pages 123-127?
Please review that information and post back if you still have issues.
The Installation guide is available here:

Thanks,

Project Server 2003 does not include any Portfolio Analyer views by default.
The Project Server administrator must create all Portfolio Analyzer views.
Log into PWA and then click Admin - Manage Views. Do you see any views
listed in the Portfolio Analyzer section? If not, you need to create one.

If you already created one or more Portfolio Analyzer views, make sure that
you added each View to at least one Category, such as the My Organization
category. You will find a Categories (Optional) section at the bottom of
the page when defnining a view. Ironically, selecting a Category is NOT
optional, so I don't know why Microsoft said it is optional. Let us know
what you see.

In specify views under Portfolio Analyzer i get this error - " Unable to
access the Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Analyzer OLAP cube.

Possible Cause : The cube has not yet been built, or it is currently being
generated, or you do not have permission to access the cube.
Database 'Cnatranet' does not exist".
I know that it has been built because I have a successful build message in
my current cube status.

When installing Project Server, the installation guide specifies that you
need to create an OLAP Administrator account with which to access Analysis
Services? Did you do this? Let us know.
