I have a quesiton about a usage scenario that I have been asked to handle.
This scenario involves taking lower level Microsoft Project instances and
synchronizing status to higher level project "containers". I'm not sure this
type of conept is achievable in Project Server 2007.
Just to clarify an example might be that there are 5 active projects in a
Marketing department at company X. What I need to be able to deliver is some
reports that show the overall budget, status, and just general health of all
those projects. This might also need to roll up even another level to maybe
a corporate branch project that contains Marketing, Sales, and Legal.
I was thinking this could be done with some standardized container type
projects and custom event handlers but I wanted to know if anything like this
already existed and I was just not seeing it. Any comments, suggestions, or
thoughts are more than welcome.
Thanks!
