Project Pro 2003 Connection to Project Server 2003

Hello,

Problem:
One of my workstations with XP Pro SP2 + Project Pro 2003 will not
connect to my Project 2003 Server - not all workstations just this one.
I am using Windows Authentication, the user works from a different
workstation. All components are installed into a domain / all accounts
are domain accounts. The error I get on this workstation is "Project
was unable to establish a connection with the selected Project Server.
This could be caused by a loss of network connectivity, invalid user
name or password, lack of an enterprise global template or problems
with the Project Server or database, or your project Server may not
have the enterprise features enabled." The workstation that is causing
grief is a production workstation and cannot be formatted or rebuilt
without causing significant problems to my environment.

-I think the server must be okay, because I can connect from both the
PWA and from Project Pro 2003 on another workstation.
-I have changed my regional settings to match the server English
(Canada), then to all match (English US) - no luck.
-if I change the project server account on the client from windows to
sql authentication (still no connection) but interestingly enough if I
change the password to something incorrect, I get a different error
(Incorrect username / password combination (5005)).
-EditSite gives me successful results, no errors.
-Yes, I followed the installation instructions.
-I installed MDAC2.7
-when I run a SQL Trace on the project database, I do get some action
when the client is attempting to login; the result is pasted below.
"exec sp_execute 1,
'192.168.169.62

',
'-

', 'Mar 7 2006 5:34:46:000PM', '192.168.169.14
', 0, 893, 2156, 401, 0,
'POST

',
'/projectserver/logon/PDSRequest.asp

',
'-

'

I am assuming something I have on this one particular client is
preventing the connection. I think I must have read every possible
news group thread about this topic, there are lots! I have not had any
success with any of the changes.

Is there a tool that can be installed on the client machine to test the
connection to the server.

What is Project Pro actually connecting to? Is it a connection to the
web http://xx/projectserver and not actually a connection to the SQL
database?

Any help will be great! Regards,

Jamie
