Project Pro 2003 error

Dear All,

We are experiencing some Project Pro 2003 error when we tried to open a task
from a checked-out Project Server 2003 file. One of the error messages is as
follow:

An exception occurred in the Project Server.
Project Server encountered a problem with this error code: 9364. Please
contact your server administrator.

The error code changed to 9446 if we check it in and out again. I am
wondering whether Project Server 2003 requires service pack 1 for Office 2003
installed. Please help.

Thank you.

Is this happening in only one project? If so, it indicates corruption in the
plan record rather than a system problem. If you're able to open and save
the project without it crashing Project Pro, then you might try saving it as
an mpp file and importing it back to the server after deleting the original
record. Another good therapy is to force a rebuild of the binary record in
the database following these instructions:

Hello Gary,

Thank you for your comment. It was indeed a specific project file based
error, the project contains about 65,000+ resources. We got the PM to cut
down the size of the resources and it seemed to be working fine now. Thanks
for your tips anyhow, it has been helpful!

Have a nice day.
