Project Pro 2003 SP2 crashes

I have recently started using Project 2003 server and its a bad experience.
The client (Project pro) keeps crashing every time I save a project on the
server. Does anyone know about this?

I saw a similar post earlier but there are no answers.

I really hope that you are using SP2a and not SP2. SP2 had too many bad
sideeffects and was quickly replaced by SP2a
Make sure that you remove SP2, if that is what you are using and instal
SP2a instead.

I just installed SP2a on the project server. I ran the database upgrade
command as well. I still have the same problem. Project crashes after saving
the mpp file on the project server. It crashes even when I open in Read-only
mode and try to close the project.

I think its SP2A for Project Server and you need SP2 for Project
Professional.

Verify that this is a symptom that occurs across numerous projects, and not
for one project only. If the latter is true, corruption is indicated.
Otherwise there are some issues corrected in post service pack 2 hotfix
packages including a crashing behavior around opening projects. This may or
may not solve your problem, but isn't likely to make it worse. See the KB
