Project Pro 2007 First connection fails

Hello,

Every day, my first connection attempt in Project Profesional 2007 on the
server is failing: the login dialog hangs forever.
So I have to shut down the Winproj.exe process in the Task Manager of
Windows.
After that, all the connections are quick and easy!
Any idea?

Hi there,

Does this happen only on one machine or all MSP users ? Did you peruse the
Event Logs for related errors. if you did please post the error here. My
speculation would be some issue with IIS authentication though.

Hi Andre,

This happens on one machine which is a laptop for tests and demos. It's
Domain Controller by itself.
The errors I got this morning in the Event Viewer are:

Application:
Faulting application winproj.exe, version 12.0.6524.5000, stamp 4b075fa8,
faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4455, stamp 49900dbd, debug? 0,
fault address 0x0004cde2.

Microsoft Office Sessions:
ID: 9, Application Name: Microsoft Office Project, Application Version:
12.0.6524.5000, Microsoft Office Version: 12.0.6425.1000. This session
lasted 9 seconds with 0 seconds of active time. This session ended with a
crash.
