Project Pro 2007 "open" filter

We have a custom field that contains the status of each project, (active,
clodes, on hold, proposed, etc). Currently when clicking "open" in Pro2007,
all projects are displayed regardless of their status.

Is there a way to add a filter to the "open" dialog box allowing the disply
of schedules by status?

thanks in advance

Nope. This is not possible. However, if the PM double-clicks the "Retrieve
the list of all projects from Project Server" line at the top of the Open
dialog, he/she can then click the Group By pick list and group the projects
by their status. Alternately, the Project Server administrator can hide
completed projects using the workaround documented below:

Although the FAQ is specifically written for Project Server 2003, you can
still do this in Project Server 2007. Hope this helps.

Forgive me for my short reply. I should have added that your users can
accomplish what they want by going to the Project Center page in PWA, where
they can group or filter as they desire. Then they can directly open a
project from the Project Center page into Project Professional 2007. Hope
this helps.
