Project Pro disconnects from the Project Server during Save (2007)

Hi all,

I some cases during a Save operation of a project plan from Pro to the
Server, the connection gets lost. This happens mostly for large plans (800
lines with some custom fields) but it has also happened with smaller plans.
The project pro connection state indicator at the bottom of the page shows
that it is still connected, but if I try to access any collaboration option
or look at the status of the queue, the options are not available and a
message comes up saying that Pro needs to be connected..... Usually, the
connection gets restablished if I disconnect and re-connect via the
connection state indicator menu, and the save goes through. But it does not
seem correct that a user would need to do this.... Does anybody know the
cause and the solution??? is it that the queue re-try timer has to be
increased??? Please advise.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if it helps but many problems related to saving was fixed
in office-kb938889-fullfile-x86-glb.exe, and of course in internal
release of SP1
