Project Pro/Server 2003 connectivity

Dave

We have set up a Project server and are having some
problems with using Project Professional 2003 with
Project Server 2003 on the Windows 2003 Server.

All three are installed on the same server and
administrator can use Project Pro 2003 with no problems
(via terminal services to the 2003 server). However if a
standard user logs on and tries to use Project Pro 2003,
they get an error saying that they do not have sufficient
access (or similar) and Project Pro closes.

Project Pro 2002 does not have this problem.

Any thoughts??

Probably best to re-ask this on the NG more appropriate for this task,
microsoft.public.project.pro_and_server.

That being said, clearly there is a permissions problem with the
"standard" user. Re-check again how Project was installed and ensure it
was done per the instructions and look at the group policy of the
standard user.

It is unconventional to put Project client on the same machine as
Project Server (and terminal services?). Check into how the CAL's work
when all this on one machine for multiple users.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
