Project Professional 2003 and SQL

Does anyone know if there is conflict having Project Professional 2003 and
Microsoft SQL on the same machine? Everytime we try to install Project on a
machine that has SQL on it, will do one of the following in all cases:
1) The install runs, but when it finishes, there are no files under
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Office11 and no shortcut appears.
OR
2) If we're installing it from the CD, it will state that the CD is corrupt.
But I can then take this same CD and go to a workstation without SQL on it
and install Project just fine.
