project professional needed or will standard do?

We are looking at installing project server and I wanted to know if microsoft
office project professional 2007 was needed to integrate with project server
or if the standard version of project would do? It seems to me the standard
version should work but most references on the microsoft website reference
the professional version.

Hello only Project Professional can connect to Project Server 2007 so you
will need the "pro" version.
