Project Professional Outline Code

I have imported the following from an Excel sheet into a blank .mpp:

1.0 Acquisition Process
1.1 Initiation
1.1.1 Describe concept or need
1.1.2 Analyze system requirements
1.1.3 Approve system requirements
....
.... the other 340 lines removed
....

I want to use a macro (or some other method) to have Project set the
appropriate indentation, so it ends up looking like:

1.0 Acquisition Process
1.1 Initiation
1.1.1 Describe concept or need
1.1.2 Analyze system requirements
1.1.3 Approve system requirements
1.2 RFP Preparation
1.2.1 Document acquisition requirements (RFP)

Yes I could use the Indent --> keys, but the file is 345 line big and I
might miss something.

Has someone out there encountered this issue?

In Excel add another field called Outline Level. 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 etc
would all have a 1 in Outline Level. 1.1, 1.2, 2.4, 3.x, etc would all
have 2, 1.1.1, 2.3.2, etc would have a 3 and so on.

If you do this and the tasks are listed exactly as they should appear
then the import will work if you do a File | Open and pick xls and
build a map that brings this new field into the Outline Level field in
Project.

Thanks - this worked.

It is important to understand that you have to create the 3 columns:

"Outline Number" "Outline Level" "Name"
1.0 1 Top Level Summary Name
1.1 2 Next Summary Level
1.1.1 3 Task Level

Then Import the excel spreadsheet column into the "field" name above.
