Project PWA Project Center views

E

Edwin

Under Project Center I can see all summary views(tracking, cost, earned
value, and work) for all my projects. I then double click on the project name
and go to View a Project. On some projects I then see detailed views (tasks,
assignments, resources). On other projects I received the following message:
"There is no information in this view. Either the project manager has not
published the project plan or there is no information in the project plan to
display."
The project plan has certainly been published and there is also information
for the views.
The error message generates a Event Log VWNOTIFY error that will eventully
stop the Project Server Views Notication Service; that is fixed by a delete
of the xml files in \program files\microsoft office project server
2003\bin\viewdrop
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

Edwin:

Your so-called "fix" to the problem is essentially wiping out the integrity
of your database. You need to deal with the root cause which is
miss-configuration of your platform. Your disposable XML packages are the
messages to the system to close, unlock and publish data to Project Web
Access. Please start a new thread at microsoft.public.projectserver and post
the errors from your application event log and describe your physical
configuration and we'll try to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks Gary.
I assume the new thread at microsoft.puublic.projectserver (?) is at the
same discussion group site that you replied to, correct?
Will open thread there and supply requested info.
