MSP2k7 SP1 not SP1 Hotfix
We have users that check either while saving or disgarding cahnges to
projects have their projects remain checked out on the users cache. The
server saves changes and even publishes and does not indicate that the
project is checked out. However, when the usergoes to open up his project at
a later date, they can only open it in read only because their machine thinks
it is checked out to them. If you clean up the cache, the PM can open the
project. This happens too many times with to many users and it is very
annoying and causes useless support calls. Any ideas??

I have seen this problem before and have fixed it by instructing users to
close the project from the File menu (File > Close) before exiting Project
Pro. See if this helps.

I've recently installed SP1 but haven't checked if the problem remains.

Yeah, I have instructed my users to do this as well but they still have
problems when they close correctly. I wonder if anyone is still experiencing
the issue??

SP1 did provide some major fixes in this area, however it appears to still
exist. I usually ask the user to open read only, close, and then open it
again and it tends to solve the cache problems nicely.
