I implemented Project Server 2003 in our organization 3 months ago.
It has been very successful. To begin with I only implemented this in
our IT organization. Now word is spreading, and other departments
within our medical center are asking to participate. The problem is
some groups don't want anybody else to see their projects to include
executives and administrators.
When setting up our implementation I guessed that this might happen in
the future so I setup the RBS Enterprise Outline Code to mirror our
organization's hierarchy from the top down. Also, I have added top
level IT managers to the mix by giving them permission to the "My
Organization" category so that they can see all projects. Of course
that was when all projects were only IT projects.
My question is: What is the best way to setup project security for
projects from groups like HR that have payroll information or other
"secret" information with the fewest amount of people having access to
these projects?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
