Project Server 2000 compatibility with Project 2003

Can you use Project Server 2000 with Project 2003 in order to collaborate (or
email) schedule changes to different players?

PennyGuy --

There was never a Project Server 2000. There was only Project Central,
which was the forerunner to Project Server 2002 and 2003. Regardless, you
cannot use Project 2003 with Project Central. Hope this helps.

We definitely have "Project Server" listed in our software available to
purchase. If it is Server 2002, will that work with Project 2003? I don't
want to purchase something that's not compatible. Thanks.

Penny:

To use the enterprise features of Project 2003 Professional, you should
purchase Project Server 2003. Make sure that you buy Project Professional
rather than Project Standard.

If you are going to purchase Project Server, you should purchase Project
Server 2003 and Microsoft Project Professional 2003. Don't waste your time
or money on anything older than the current released version. Hope this
helps.
