Project Server 2002: Error 5016

Anyone out there experienced the ERROR 5016 as described
below ?
Any assistanse will be appreciated!

Configuration:

Windows 2000 Server SP4 (IIS5)
SQL 2000 SP3
Project Server 2002 SP1
+Windows 2000 Native Domain
+ProjectServer Web Access Method: Windows Domain User
Authentication.


Problem:

When trying to log in to PWA (through IE6SP1) using
Windows Authentication...
Username: <Domain>\<Username>
Password: <Domain Password>

Error:
***Start***
Your account does not have permissions to log on. You
need to change the account in your profile or contact your
server administrator to give your account permissions to
log on to this server.
***END***

This problem only occurs after I logged off the PWA and
then trying to log back on. Initially when connecting to
PWA, I'm automatically authenticated and connected, and
can work normally to publish and manage projects.

Johann:

Remove everything in the URL after "projectserver" or whatever your site
name is. The logon page is for Project Server authenticated accounts only.
Once you remove the excess URL, you'll be authenticated automatically.
That's the way Windows Authentication works in Project Web Access.

The URL I'm using is: http://<servername>/projectserver

When u say "Project Server Authenticated Accounts..." Do u
mean SQL authentication ?

I'm not making use of SQL authentication but Windows
Domain Authentication.

To futher clearify my problem:
When I log into the domain from any network computer,
using a username registered and active in PWA, then
connecting to the PWA(URL), the automatic authentication
process works fine.

But,
when I'm logged on to the domain with a username not
registered in PWA, then I need to log on through the logon
screen in PWA(using the Windows Authentication option), as
decribed below, it does'nt except the details and error
5016 is generated.

Johann:

You would need to have local logon rights to use the link on the home page.
So, you have three choices: 1) Logon using a Project Server Authenticated
account 2) Grant your account local logon rights on the server 3) Log off
the workstation and log back on as yourself.
