Hello,

What's the best way to assign Project Server accounts to all the resources
in the Enterprise resource pool. In this network, there is no Active
Directory, no Windows accounts...

Thanks for your help.

Once a enterprise resource is assigned to a task in a project schedule and it
is published the resource will have a project server account as a team member.

Thanks Ray,

Very interesting!
In this case, I guess that the user account is the Resource Name, without
any password. Can you confirm?

Thanks again

When you add resources to the the Enterprise Resource Pool and then save the
pool, the system automatically creates user accounts for each resource in
PWA. By default, the system adds every resource in the pool to the Team
Members group. From there, you must manually add members to the Project
Managers group and other groups as you desire. Hope this helps.

This is incorrect. The Project Server administrator simply needs to create
the resources in the Enterprise Resource Pool and then save and close the
pool. The system will create user accounts automatically in PWA and will
add each resource to the Team Members group by default. Hope this
clarification helps.

Dale is correct, you don;t have to assign them to a task in a shcedule. If
they are a project server account and not a windows account they will be
created without a password. Once the login they will be notified that the
account password is blank and they should change it. Windows account will
user there windows authenication.

hope this helps...
