Project Server 2003 Administrative Project "Availability"

When posting actual work (in Project Web Access) to a future administrative
task (vacation) I expected to see (in Resource view) my "Resource
Availability" for the date posted reduced by the actual work hours input
(once the update was accepted) - this didn't happen. Can someone explain this
for me? Thanks.
