Project Server 2003 and SharePoint Services connectiion

Hello,

I'm trying to set up Project Server to link projects with a SharePoint
project workspace. However, when I enter the URLs and submit in the PWA
Admin page, I get the following error message:

"There are no site templates installed on the specified server running
Windows SharePoint Services. Verify the Web server is properly extended with
Windows SharePoint Services".

Here's what we've done:
1. Installed SharePoint Services w/ SP1 on Windows Server 2003, uing SQL
Server as our database. This is working great.
2. Installed Project Server 2003 on another box.
3. Verified windows user profile was an adminitrator on both boxes.
Granted admin privileges for this profile in both SharePoint and Project
Server (via PWA and SharePoint config console).
4. Ran PSComPlus on the PRJ server, setting up the above mentioned windows
user profile.
5. Ran the wsswiz.exe on the project server CD on the SharePoint site.
Completed successfully, can access the Project Workspace at
http://machine/sites/MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments
6. Restarted SharePoint box
7. When to PWA admin page, SP configuration and entered URLs provided at
the end of wsswiz.exe. Verified by following instructions on the page, then
submitted, and received no templates found.

I verified the PWA template folder exists, and there is a WEBTEMPP.xml file
that contains a template definition for PWA on the sharepoint server.

Then downloaded SP1 for Project Server 2003
1. Ran the SQL db update, received successful completion message.
2. Ran the Project Server update, successful message.
3. Tried running the WSS update, but on got the splash screen saying
retrieving configuration information for a few seconds, then it goes away...
Don't know if this is what is supposed to happen. Couldn't find a log file.

Tried connecting Project to SharePoint again, still the same error.

Seems like I've tried everything I can find to resolve the issue, with no
luck.

Thanks for any assistance.
