Project Server 2003 - Backup & Restore

Could anyone tell me how to Backup and restore project server 2003 with
WSS 2.0 & SQL 2000 from Production Server to Test Server.

Please give me step by step process.

Any Ideas! Please Help

FaisalM,
Followed the Instructions in KB article" 323330
What I Did
1) Took Backup of WSS (STS_SERVERNAME_1)
2) Took Backup of PS2003 (ProjectServer)
3) Uninstalled WSS, PS2003, Deleted SQL DB's
---
1) Restored DB's(STS_SERVERNAME_1 & ProjectServer)
2) Installed WSS and followed KB Article: 905386 to
configure WSS.
3) NOW I am Installing PS2003.
During the Installation Process - In the Screen
"Enter Database Server Information" - Selected Connect to another
existing database (Gave DB Server Name, DB Name) -
Screen: Enter Connection Information for View Tables - Check box
checked --
Screen: Enter Database Account Information -
WHAT SHOULD I GIVE IN
Logon Name and Password.

Please Help me. I am Struck here.
Unable to Restore PS2003

Subject : TO RESTORE PROJECT SERVER.

Backup Databases : STS_ServerName_1 and ProjectServer
Restored : STS_ServerName_1 and ProjectServer
----
WSS is Restored Successfully using KB Article : 323330 and KB Article : 905386
During Project Server 2003 installation and connecting to restored database:

I received the following error:
"The Specified MSProjectServerRole account is not in the MSProjectServerRole
role"

Screen : Chose Connect to another existing database and enter the server
name and database name
Screen : Checked Connect To Main Project Server 2003 Database
Screen : Enter Database Account Information

When I supply the following database account information:
MSProjectServerUser and password
MSProjectUser and password
I received the following error:

"The Specified MSProjectServerRole account is not in the MSProjectServerRole
role"
I've checked the Roles in the Project Database on the SQL server and
(Start - Programs - MS SQL SERVER - ENTERPRISE MANAGER - DATABASES -
Expand PROJECTSERVER - ROLES)

verified the following:
db_datareader MSProjectServerRole
db_datawriter MSProjectServerRole
MSProjectRole MSProjectUser
MSProjectServerRole MSProjectServerUser

I am unable to Restore Project Server 2003.

START- RUN- REGEDIT -

HOW TO MODIFY THIS?

Any Ideas! Please Help.

In SQL Enterprise Manager, go to ProjectServer database. Then go to users
folder in it. Delete the two accounts ProjectUser & ProjectServerUser.

1. Then in SQL Enterprise Manager go to Security > Logins.
2. Double click ProjectServerUser to see its properties. (Change the
password there if needed)
3. Go to Database Access tab.
4. Make sure ProjectServer database is checked & select it.
5. In the window below 'Database Roles for ProjectServer' select
ProjectServerRole
6. Click OK

Do the same 6 steps for ProjectUser.

Now do what you have been doing before. Hopefully that would work.

STAGE 1:
Original Configuration
SQL (Mixed Mode Authentication)
WSS (Default settings like app pools)
Project Server 2003.
No Service Packs
-----------------------------------
STAGE 2:
Backup Databases
STS_SERVERNAME_1
ProjectServer
Did not take backup for WSSdb(Config db)
-----------------------------------------
STAGE 3:
Uninstalled Project Server 2003
Uninstalled WSS
Deleted Databases from SQL 2000
Restarted SYSTEM
-----------------------------------------
STAGE 4:
Restored Databases with SAME NAMES.
(STS_SERVERNAME_1, ProjectServer)
IN ProjectServer db - deleted both
MSPROJECTSERVERUSER and MSPROJECTUSER and created the same
w.r.t KB article: 323330

Installed WSS following by accepting all
default settings and then connected to
restored db and delted default db.
While Installing Project Server

Screen : Chose Connect to another existing database and enter the server

Screen : Enter Database Account Information
here i am providing MSPROJECTSERVERUSER and MSPROJECTUSER

When i click on NEXT Button, I am getting the following error
"The Specified MSProjectServerRole account is not in the MSProjectServerRole
role"

ARE THE ABOVE STAGES CORRECT.
PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.
I am having this problem since a week.

During Recovery Do i need to install WSS and PS2003
normally and then restore (WSS & PS2003) or Before

Any Ideas! Please Help
