Project Server 2003 Database Name

Norman

when installing Project Server 2003 can you specify a different database name?

I'm planning on installing Project Server 2003 on a server with SQL 2000
server already installed unfortuneately there already is a database called
ProjectServer, hence my question.

Thanks,

Norman

Norman:

I'm assuming this is a database for a Project Server instance running on
another machine, otherwise some of my answer may not be valid for your
question. When the installation routine detects the presence of the other
database, and the other ProjectServer logons, it will append numbers to the
names of these. You can then change the names using the Edit Site Tool to
maintain your connections, choosing to keep separate SQL logons or
standardizing the credentials across installations
