hi,

When i try to connect to my PS via MS Project pro application i get "file
not found" error.
This is Global (+ cached enterprise)(organizer) issue i think (in 'module'
tab all macros disappear)

How can i restore my global settings?
Can I transfer this file from my virtual environment? Where can i find this
settings file on disk?

OK i now where can i find this file but if i prepare new global file i have
this same situation first 'file not found'.
what i have to do is delete all macros from Project Server.

Maybe someone add/change/delete macros.
i think you have right with this corrupted vba stream - how can i fix this?
should i restore database from backup?

Certainly restoring a backup of the database to a good state would solve
this problem. If you are unable to do that, I think I can dig up a procedure
to recreate the E-global file, but this will cause you much work.

can you write me a short procedure of recreation eglobal?

everything is fine now (database restore) but if you find this instruction it
will be very useful for people without global template backup(paste some link
in this post).

Thanks for your support!!!

The easiest resolution is to restore just E-Global file if you have a
backup. From now on, always make a backup of the E-Global before you make
changes to it.

The steps I have are for 2007, and need to be adapted for 2003. Essentially,
you backup every object in your E-Global and then run the SQL script that
creates the E-Global file during installation, which brings you back to
square one. The challenge with 2003 is recreating the custom fields,
particularly if you have a lot of these. The playbooks tool for 2007 makes
this a snap. I've got about 100 FAQs I'd like to post about 2007 in my
backlog, and I'm not likely to invest a lot more time creating content for
2003.

I'm delighted that you're up and running again. Time to consider 2007.
