Project Server 2003 - Import emails as tasks from Public Folders

Raphael Segal

Hi All

New to project server 2003 and would like to establish if some method exists
where I can "dynamically import" emails from a public folder on our exchange
server.
At the moment we get a number of Tasks as emails into the public folders and
i would like to route them into project server and then allocate them as a
task.

I am sure this has been done a million times but could find no definitive
answer.

thanks for your input.

Hi Gary

Thanks for the reply; (I just ordered your book) and was hoping the answer
would somewhere in there.
Why would it not have been done (really suprised) as we have an ongoing
project that is made up of support emails that are sitting in the public
folder on exchange server. These emails have screenshots and documentation
and would make perfect sense to control them in the same way we control a
project.

I can find a way to import the Tasks from Exchange to Project Sever so I
thought this would be available as well.

So if its not been done before then we may be the first but i can bet we
wont be the last assuming I have not lost the plot with what i am trying to
do.
Your comments are much appreciated - thank you

Regards

I imagine you can do this if you're a good programmer and know both sides
of the house, but I'm quite certain that this has not been done millions
of times. Maybe not even tens of times!
