Project Server 2003 - need to display Project info in Task View

I have a request from management to be able to display, on each user's PWA
task list, a Custom Field value that is set at the Project level. This is
set by clicking Project, Project Information, and is entered here (ms
project) manually at the start of any Project. There are actually two
fields, we have renamed them (In Enterprise Global) but it still displays in
Parenthesis "Enterprise Project Text1" and "Enterprise Project Text2".

I was able to add these to the task view in Project itself, and it displays.
But now I am trying to get these values to show up on all users Task List.

In Project Server, I have gone to Admin, Manage Views, selecting "Timesheet"
and Modify View. I see here that there are many fields I can add to the
view, but not Enterprise Project Text1 or 2... (Although "Enterprise Project
ID" IS available). These fields are available to add in Project or Project
Center views (SO aggrivating, it's like RIGHT THERE!!)

Does anyone know a way around this or any way to get Enterprise Project
Custom Fields to show up on PWA Tasks?

I'm looking into somehow making an Enterprise Task custom field and populate
it with the information from the Project, but I also don't know how to do
that.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Background: We are a federal government contractor and need to enter our
hours per project in a separate time system - since users need to enter time
in 2 places, they would be able to see the custom project field for which
they are charging time to in Project Server corresponding with the other time
system to reduce error and confustion.

You won't be able to add the enterprise project field to the Timesheet View
because the Timesheet View shows Task Level Information. What you need to
do as an administrator is create a Custom Enterprise Task field with the
formula set to = [Enterprise Project Text1] and include that in the
timesheet view.

Then the PM must do two things on each of their projects for this data to
appear.

1) Go to Tools>Customize>Published Fields... and add the new task level
field to "Fields in the Task View:"
2) Re-Publish Assignments

Actually, this is working for MOST of the projects....

I'm getting #ERROR showing up for this field in one project. I'm not sure
why - this is the only project it's happening to - I thought maybe that the
field at the project level wasn't populated, but it is.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much

This project might have the auto calculate turned off in Tools>Options

Regardless, sometimes you have to hit F9 to force a re-calculation of the
formulas while you have the project open.

Try that and let me know if you are still seeing an ERROR.

Thanks again Jonathan - Playing around with the publishing finally got the
value to show up.
