What are the consequences of using Microsoft Office 2003 STANDARD instead of
PROFESSIONAL with ProjectServer2003-especially trying to use WSS?

Thanks...

Project Standard can not work with Project Server while Project Server is in
Enterprise Mode.

If you set Project Server to workgroup (non enterprise mode) you can publish
plans from Project Standard which can be viewed in the Web Access Client

If you do publish a project from Project Standard to Project Server in
non-enterprise mode you will get most of Sharepoints capabilities e.g. a site
is created with each project published.

Your last comment has thrown me. The datasheet view is not driven by Project
but by the use of Office Web Components - although they are installed with
Microsoft Office Applications - try re-installing OWC11.exe to enable
datasheet

Hope this sheds some light and helps with your data sheet issue

Here's what's happened Chris....We recently installed EPM are are using it in
a limit capacity. Some people who now have Project Professional 2003
installed also have Office 2003 Standard which was there before Proj. Prof
2003.

From what I can see so far, they can upload, view, and edit documents just
fine, either in the public documents area or in the shared documents
associated with their projects. Looks like the only thing they can't do is
'Edit in DataSheet' while on PWA. OR are you saying that function is enabled
by installing OWC11.exe on the Project Server?

Thanks....
