I have a customer who is very interested in the publishing/collaboration/web
access feature of Project Server 2003 coupled with Project Professional
2003. They currently have a pure Windows 2000 environment and aren't
necessarily in budget position to upgrade to Win2k3 at this point. I'm
trying to get an idea of what features of Pro/Server 2003 will be lost by
NOT installing Project Server on a Win2k3 server but rather on a Windows
2000 Server running Sharepoint Team Services (not WSS) and MSDE. What
functionality will I lose? Will Pro still be able to publish projects to the
Project server? Also, recommendations on MSDE vs. SQL. There will be 10
people using this Project server on a daily basis. I have scoured the web
and past newsgroup posts and have yet to find anything that could answer my
questions. Thanks,
