Project Server 2003; Project Professional 2003; Active X Component

Can Project Professional 2003 access Project Server 2003 without
having the Active X component install?

I know you need the component to access Project Web Access, yet do you
need it for Project Professional?

Hi Cole,

Project Professional doesnt necessarily require ActiveX to connect to
Project Server, but as soon as a Project manager opens an item under the
Collaboration Menu, PWA is rendered, therefore requiring the Active X.

In a nutshell, yes I think that you require Active X in order to work with
Project Professional within an Project Server environment.
