Project Server 2003 - Project Tasks dissapeared !

J

James Martin

Hello,

We are running a small pilot of Project Server 2003 between two of our
Offices, although our main system is running Project Server 2002.

We have a problem that whilst a project was being saved to our database from
one of our satellite offices about 120 miles way, the link was lost. We
can still open the project but all tasks have disappeared - they are blank.

We are unable to check the project back in because it doesn't appear in the
list of projects that need to be checked in.

Do you have any advice ?

Thanks

James

Hi Gary,

I looked at the FAQ you provided and that isn't the problem we are getting.
We can see the project and can open it - but the tasks are all blank.

So it must be some other problem - can you suggest anything ?

Thanks

James

James:

You said you couldn't check it back in, so I referred you to the FAQ. If you
can open it read write, and the tasks are blank, it sounds like corruption.
You should set your SQL timeout values very high if you're going to try to
use Project across a WAN. It's better to use Terminal Services to provide
this type of access.
