It would be difficult to provide a proposal or estimate, as you don't
provide enough information. I will try my best to list the hardware
and software your will need. Implementation of Project Server is
another issue.
For 25 users, you could get away with a single box implementation, but
you will have better results with a two box implementation.
Box 1 - SQL Server. Windows 2000 Server, SQL Server 2000 (Enterprise
or Standard) , SQL Server SP3, SQL Server Analysis Services (free
download) and Analysis Services Service Pack.
Box 2 - Project Server. Windows 2003 Server, Project Server 2003,
Project Server 2003 SP1.
In addition, you will need Client Access Licences (CALS) for at least
Project Web Access and depending on the version, SQL Server. For
Project Server CALs, you will need CALS equal to the number of
resources in your resource pool, less the number generic resources and
less the number of Project Professional 2003 licences you own.
You can roll out a "out of the box" server to play with, using the free
Microsoft online guides or purchasing the Admin book from
msprojectexperts.com. I recommend you get both actually.
If you want to have someone implement Project Server 2003 for you, you
should plan on spending between 20 - 40K for a good proof of concept
roll out, including training, coaching, etc.
