I realize there are not many migration experts on this site, but I have a
question that I hope someone could give me some direction on:

I have successfully ran a restore of a "ProjectServer" database. Everything
is fine exept for the WSS sites. They are pointing to the old server.

I do not need the contents of the previous WSS sites, but would like to
integrate Sharepoint on the new server. Is it possible to restore my
"ProjectServer" database and create a new instance of WSS?

Thanks.

My ignorance -

Steps necessary:

Install SQL 2K + SP's on new server
Restore Databases ==>Master (In single user mode)==>ProjectServer db

Install WSS according to Install Guide ==> Do Not connect to existing DB

Run WSS Config Wizrd off of Project Server CD

Install Project Server ==> Connect to existing "ProjectServer" DB

Log into server, go into Admin ==> Manage WSS ==> Site Provisioning
Settings:

Enter E-mail address of Site owner

Go into Manage Sharepoint Sites ==> Create Sites for Projects
