Project Server 2003 SP2a with SQL Server 2005

M

Marc S.

Hey everybody,

I have installed a new instance of Project Server 2003 on one of our test
systems and have followed the instructions from Bill Raymond's blog
(http://blogs.lv0.net/mpatest/archive/2005/11/18/182.aspx) to run it with SQL
Server 2005.

Even though I have not tested all functions PS2003 seemed to work with SQL
Server 2005 without applying a Service Pack. But of course I want all the
bugs fixed and therefore run PS2003 with SP2a. When running the
'upgdb112.cmd' from the SP2 folder I get the following error after a few
seconds:

***********************************

Msg 1018, Level 15, State 1, Server BASEL, Procedure
MSP_WEB_SP_QRY_GetTasksIDs, Line 24 Incorrect syntax near 'index'. If this is
intended as a part of a table hint, A WITH keyword and parenthesis are now
required. See SQL Server Books Online for proper syntax.
1> 2> 3>
Error encountered while running WEBSPS.SQL!

Press any key to continue . . .

***********************************

Has anyone else encountered that problem? When I open WEBSPS.SQL with
Notepad and go to the indicated Line 24 I can't find the mentioned statement.

Thanks for your support...

Marc

Hi Marc,

Please don't follow these instructions as they are not support by
Microsoft.

Follow these instructions and you should be good to go:

Good Luck and let us know how your SP2a upgdb112.cmd turns out
I'm very curious...

Cheers,
