Hi, I have installed WSS 2.0 and Project Server 2003 and SQL Server SP3 and everything is working smoothly, execpt:

I can't change Project Server site template setting in Administration pages (Windows Sharepoint Services - site provisioning settings). I have created new template, but I can't see new template in selection list.

Here is what I have done:
- I made wss site changes I wanted (Home site)
- I went to: site settings -> site administration -> save site as template.
- I went to: Site template galleryyn
- save template -> I saved stp-file to a directory
- open command prompt and go: \program files\common files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\60\BIN (where stsadm.exe exists).
- run stsadm.exe -o addtemplate -filename "stp-file path" -title "templatename"
- iisreset
- Logon as administrator to Project Web Accessiin
- Go Admin-page, Manage windows sharepoint services, site provisioning settings, choose new template.

-> here is the problem, a new template is not avaible...

Does anyone know what goes wrong or is this a feature?

Hi Jarmo,

I have the exact same problem at a client yesterday. We performed the exact
same steps as you described here, and we did test it first on a development
server - where i worked fine. However, when we did it on a production
server, we could not see the template under "Site provisioning settings", on
the Manage Windows Sharepoint Services page in PWA.

In the end, i couldn't figure out why it wasn't working - so i resorted to
reinstalling WSS and Project Server. Luckily i had no WSS data - so it was
a quite simple procedure. After we reinstalled - everything was working
fine and we could load the template and apply it.

Hi Nico, thanks for your answer. That's a mysterious problem.

I updated my Beta 3 installations to RTM, but problem still exists. Do you think reinstall would here also? Have you find any (MS) information conserning this case

I think a reinstall seems to be the only thing that will fix this, with
current information. I have not found any more documentatoin on this
yet....
