Background:
We've installed Project Server 2007B2TR Standalone (with SQL 2005 SP1, and
SQL2005 Analysis Svc SP1) numerous times without a problem.
Now we have a new installation and are splitting up the servers to have.
Machine #1- Project Server 2007 Beta2TR
Machine #2- SQL Server 2005 SP1
Machine #3- SQL Server 2005 Analysis Svc SP1
Since we have installed in this configuration, all of the Project-to-Project
Server functions work normally. Its just when we attempt to build a cube.
The Cube building log gets through "Starting Analysis Session", then returns
an Error that indicates "Analysis Services is either too busy or offline"
At the onset of the cube building, Three main errors get thrown in the
Windows Application Event Log.
1. Office Sharepoint Server -Category- Project Server Side Project Operations
ID- 7836
2. Office Sharpeoint Server -Category- Project Server Analysis Cube Build
ID- 7682
3. Office Sharpeoint Server -Category- Project Server Queue
ID 7704
One recurring warning
Windows Sharepoint Serveices 3 -Category- Server Help
ID-6766
Spattered with
Informational events- IDs 6767, 5482
I'm not sure if this can be simply attributed to "Beta software", or if
we're missing something.
Ideas?
Has anyone tried to split SQL 2005 DB from SQL 2005 Analysis Svc with success?
TIA,
-RS
