Project Server 2007 and Timesheet Reporting in Data Anlaysis

Hi,

I am trying to develop a view in Data analysis that provides A master filter
of RBS_Resource and then data fields of Timesheet Resource, Timesheet Class
(to capture both project and Admin Time), and then Actual Work broken down by
the Time filter. It seems that the RBS_Resource information is in a separate
database than the rest of the information, so every time I get to the point
of adding the RBS_Rescource field to the pivot table I naturally loose the
table I just built. How can I get a DB or view that will contain data from
separate databases?

HELP!
Thanks, Dots

Have you tried the MSP_Project_Timesheet cube? I believe it has all the
Dimensions and Total Fields that you seek. Let us know.

Hi Dale,
Using MSP_Project_Timesheet cube does not give me the administrative time I
need from the timesheets. THis cube only shows the Project related time. I
am trying to get data from the MSP_Project_timesheet and from the EPM
Timesheet. As I am developing the view, data goes away from the pivot table
when I change the cube selection. Will I need to do a SQL Reporting Svc
query to generate this tyoe of report or does Project have the capability
(that I can't find) of combining data from multiple cubes?

Now I understand. Since there is no way to combine the data from multiple
OLAP cubes, you will probably need to use an application such as SQL
Reporting Services to extract the data you want. Hope this helps.
