Project Server 2007 can't view status reports

J

Jason Aulizia

Our project manager has requested a weekly generic status report (not project
specific) and is getting responses and everything is working fine. Our
department executive wants to be able to view those status responses, is
there a way for him to receive the responses or view them in pwa without
logging in as the project manager?

Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad,

I dont think that you are able to do this. The PM could of course
consolidate the report and create a work document which can be send to the
executive.
Hope this helps

You can add the Executive to the report in the To box [Select the resources
whom you would like to receive a copy of this status report response ] and
they should start receiving the copy.
I do not believe you can send status reports already recieved, but you can
export them to word and send to the Exec.

Brad --

There is no automatic way for the executive to see the Status Report
responses. On the other hand, tell the project manager he/she can do the
following:

1. Navigate to the Status Reports page in PWA and click the name of your
Status Report in the Requests section.

2. In the pane at the top of the View Responses page, select the time
period for which you wish to see a combined team Status Report and then
click the Apply button.

3. Click the row header to the left of the first resource's name, press and
hold the Shift key, and then select the row header for the last resource (to
select all of the responses simultaneously).

4. Click the Open button.

You will now see a combined team Status Report with responses from all
people who reported to you during the selected reporting period.

5. Click the Export to Word button and save the combined report as a Word
document.

6. E-mail the document to the executive.

Hope this helps.
