Project Server 2007 Citrix metaframe error opening project from se

When running MS project in a Citrix Metaframe environment I log in as an EPM
administrator. In the File menu I retrieve all projects from the server. All
the projects are shown. When trying to open a project the message [Project
cannot find the path “<>/project abc†, The specified path contains one or
more folders that do not exist or cannot be accessed. Change the path to
contain only existing folders.] is displayed.

When working with the local installation of MS project, no problems appear.

Have you implemented roaming profiles? If not I would strongly recommend
doing so. It's likely that the server hosting the session cannot access the
local cache.

The problem is solved by modifying the folder that was used by the local
project cache in MS project under Citrix. (Tools - Local project Cache -
Cache Settings) The listed folder was non-existent or read-only.
