Project Server 2007 - Custom and system defined field does not sho

C

Chris

I have a strange problem with my installation of Project 2007 Server. I have
used a system defined field called "Health", which can be set in the My Task
area or through the outlook plug-in, but if I explose the health field in the
project center->project view, the column comes out empty. I can't understand
it. I've also tried creating my own task field called "TaskHealth" which I
set for a specific task in My Tasks, but the column is empty when displayed
in the project center-project view.

Any ideas??? Here are some photos.

The Health you see in My Tasks is the assignment level field. Only the task
level field shows up in Project Center. Open the project and look at the
Task Usage view, and you will see the assignment level Health field.

Your best bet is to write a macro to roll the assignment level data up to
the task level. There, you'll need to define some logic, as if you assign
one task to two resources, and they mark different health status on each
assignment, the macro will have to reconcile the two somehow.

Nope. There're three main tables in MPP: Task, Resource and Assignment.
Fields may/may not be related.

In your case, there's a task custom field, and an assignment custom field.
They do not roll up automatically.
