Project Server 2007 -custom fields

Hi,
I provisioned a project web access site. I created some custom fields.
Now I want to create some five project web access sites for other
departments. Is it possible to have - whenever i create a project web access
site,it shoud be created with the exsisting custom fields/setting using
project web access templates. Otherwise how can I copy the custom field from
one project web access site to another.

Arun,

When you say that you have five project web access sites, does this mean
that you have 5 different instances of Project SErver?

Generally you would only have one Project Web Access instance per
organisiation and that would mean that the Custom fields you set up work for
all departments. That makes especially sense when all Departments should use
the same custom field.

Can you please clarify?

Hi Marc ,
Thanks for your reply. I created five project web access site in a
single project server instance. That is http://server/IT,http://server/FI,
http://server/HR etc. They said they want to have the separate project center
for each department. Whether my approach is correct.

This is fine. Go to Microsoft Downloads and locate the Project Resource Kit.
There's a tool (playbooks.exe) that you can use to backup your settings and
custom fields and transfer them from one instance to another.
