Project Server 2007 Installation Issue (PWA)

Hello,

when I try to install the Project 2007 Web Access in a Share Service I
always ge the following Errors:

I already tried other locations than '/SiteDirectory/ProjectServer' like
/ProjectServer etc.pp. Ah, and before you ask, the Values like
<domainname>\<AdminName> are surely not the values I used when I tried to
create the PWA Site.

I have been running into the same error. The deplowment guide says:

Provisioning a Project Web Access instance using a local machine account
fails with an error
While Office Project Server 2007 supports operation on a single server
configured with local machine accounts (for example, disconnected from a
domain), Project Web Access instance provisioning fails if you provide a
Project Web Access administrator such as server\user.
The current Beta 2 workaround is to configure the farm using local machine
accounts and during PWA provisioning, use a domain account for the initial
Project Web Access administrator requested by the Project Web Access instance
provisioning page. After provisioning completes, navigate to that Project Web
Access site and add a local machine account as an administrator user by going
to the Project Web Access Server Settings page, clicking Manage users, and
then adding a new user.

I have tried with a domain account and ge the same error.

Yes, thats exactly my Problem. I definitetly use a domain account, so the
solution you mentioned doesn't help me either.

I am definetly using a domain account as well and getting provisioning
errors? Can any sense be made of the errors seen below? We are
attempting to install sharepoint 07 along side project 07 in a single
server enviornment.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi Sven,

I had exactly the same thing that during the provisioning the databases were
succesfully created, but provisiong the PWA site failed.
Long story cut short: turned out that the 'Microsoft Project Server Queueing
Serivce (SharesServices1)' was not started.
Even more obscure was that it gave me an error when starting it and then I
needed to re-enter the password in th log-on tab of the service. While one
line above the 'Microsoft Project Server Event Serivce (SharesServices1)' was
started, using the same SSP account..
