Project Server 2007: Obtaining Actual Hours by Resource per Task perTime Period

What is the best way to obtain a report of how many actual hours
resources spent on various tasks for a given time period? In Project
Server 2003, this was completed at Resource Center -> View Resource
Assignments. However, that functionality does not exist in 2007, so
what alternatives are people using? My PMs like to gather monthly
reports about where people spent their time.

Thanks!

Usually when you talk about reporting on time phased data, you want to use
the cubes (data analysis) views.

This is your best option as far as out of the box reporting. The 2007 cube
now also includes task level data and custom fields.

If you need something more versatile than the cubes, I would recommend
trying out SQL Reporting Services 2005. This would require a report
developer.
