Hi all.
We are using Project Server 2007 on the same server with MOSS 2007.
I asked our IT department to install the Infrustructure Update, and
they wanted to first test it on a test invironment, which was not
existed until now (niether for MOSS 2007 nor for Project Server 2007),
so they tried to do an overall "backup and restore" process but it
failed to restore the SSP feature, which is maybe not critical to MOSS
2007, but from what I understood is critical for installing Project
server on MOSS 2007.
They can not find a solution, and therefomre are not installing the
infrastructure update (for niether SharePoint nor Project server)
until they will have a test invironment up and running to test the
updates on.
As I am very frustrated with this situation, I though of asking here,
maybe someone knows what is the problem, or maybe someone can tell me
that they have the same server configuration and managed to restore
MOSS 2007.
The following is the post my IT guys posted on technet, and did not
recieve an answer yet...
Thanks for ANY help...
