I am using the standard enterprise custom field "Cost Type" which is a
resource field. I am also using only enterprise resources. Each
enterprise resource has been assigned a "Cost Type" in the Resource
Center.
When I create a Project Plan in Project Professional 2007, I add the
resources I want from the enterprise resource pool. At this time, I
can see that the resources have the correct values for "Cost Type" as
I have assigned them in Resource Center. Next, I save and publish the
plan to Project Server 2007.
Now I go to Project Center within Project Web Access and click on the
project that I have just published. Now the project is displayed in
the Project Details web part and I select the view that I want.
Now this is where the problem occurs:
In the standard view that I select (Resource Summary), "Cost Type" is
a column. However, the entire "Cost Type" column is blank - there are
no "Cost Type" values at all for any enterprise resources in the plan
even though the values show up in both the Resource Center and Project
Pro.
I have even tried creating an entire new view with only resource names
and "Cost Type", and the same data discrepancy occurs. I have also
made sure that every resource in the Resource Center has a value
selected for this field. I have also made sure that I am using
enterprise resources.
Has anyone any idea on what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Mike
