Project Server 2007 Queuing Service not installed.

I was wondering why nothing was updating, including the resource sync with
AD. All of the jobs were stacked in the queue, but the service is not
installed... any ideas ? Installed the .net 2.0 framework runtime, it that
the correct version? Any help on getting this service started would be
appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not sure why the queueing service is not installed / running.
But if you installed ProjectServer 2007 Beta2 TR, the .NET 2.0 framework
is not the correct one.

You need to install .NET 3.0 (which is basically .NET 2.0 + workflow).
ProjectServer relies on this version.

Guidho,

Thanks for the reply. Are you sure about the version of .NET ? The
documentations says ver 2.0, and Windows Workflow 2.2
The thing I do find confusing is the documentation states that a single
server install is not supported in beta2, and right below it says it is. That
is what I am try to use for testing.

" Important The Standalone mode of Office Project Server 2007 will not be
available for this Beta 2 release. This section will be updated at a later
date."

"Office Project Server 2007 Beta 2 can be installed not only to a Microsoft
Office SharePoint Server 2007 Farm, but can also be installed to a single
computer in Standalone Mode. In Standalone Mode, the Application Server,
Front-End Web Server, and database are all installed to a single computer."

Thanks

Guidho,

I found the newer docs on technet. You are right, I was not installing the
TR. The TR does infact require .NET 3.0 upgrading as you stated. At this
point I'm going to nuke the server and start from scratch.

Thanks Again

I had the same issue with the service not installing. Installing the TR did
not resolve it for me. If you look at my post "Project Server 2007 Queue Not
Processing" it contains info on running the installutil command to install
both the event and queue services. Good luck. I still don't have a
functioning system... but I got my services gosh darn it.
