Project Server 2007 SP2 Issue

Greetings ...

Our recent SP2 upgrade for Project Server 07 negatively impacted the My
Tasks page in PWA. We are no longer able to edit [% Complete].

We are able to edit [Physical % Complete] and [% Work Complete], but this is
not what we need. We need to be able to edit [% Complete] in the PWA My
Tasks page.

This worked brilliantly with SP1.

On the server side:
Task Settings and Display --> Tracking method on the server is "% of Work
Complete"

We are running Windows 08, SQL 08 and Hyper-V, with WSS 3.0 and Project
Server 07.

What could be the dealio? How do we get edit capability back for editing [%
Complete] via PWA My Tasks?

Cheers and Regards!

I should also mention ... one of the ways we do a work-around is to add
actual start and actual finish columns to the My Tasks view; this then
updates [% Complete] accordingly.

But to further describe, I want PWA My Tasks to aujomatically enter actual
start and actual finish when the user enter's 100 for [% Complete]. NOT the
other way around.

Whereas, in SP1, the [%Complete] field in PWA allowed one to fill in [%
Complete] if the activity had duration. If an activity was a milestone, a
combo box value of "Done" or "Not Done" would appear?? This appears to have
changed?

Hi Christopher

I did a quick check with SP2 applied and using default My Task view.
The {Progress] column (using Percent of work complete is editable and
Start date is editable (did not have actual start in the view). Edits
were submitted successfully. Also the milestone behaviour is still as
before (Done/not done). Not a lot of help to your situation. I would
suggest you republish plans after the upgrade and see if that impacts
My Task behaviour.

Greetings:

We were able to "fix" this discrepancy by deleting and re-adding the My
Tasks Web Part. It appears, somehow, some bad mojo somehow corrupted the
webpart. ~ One observation: It appears the web part was not recognizing the
default server setting Task Settings and Display --> % of Work Complete.
Instead the webpart appeared to somehow confuse with Task Settings and
Display --> Hours of work done per period. Which, we didn't set.
??????????????????? Thank you for the insight.

How do I delete and re-add this webpart? We are having problems with Task
updates since we applied SP2 but we are using the hours per day method. I
thought the issue may be related. We can not enter any hours for a day. The
grid appears but when you click in the box nothing happens - hours can not be
entered. Many thanks for any advice.
