Project Server 2007 Speed

Hi,

Has anyone beta testing Server 2007 seen or noticed the increased speed for
file opens, calcs, etc... as MS had promised/shown in thier demos?
I've got a large schedule (30,000 + tasks) split amoung 10 subschedule and
the speed of opening and working with them is unacceptable for a solution
billed as "enterprise." Thank you

Sean:

Have you installed Technical Refresh? Also, the system caches projects on
the first open. Do you see a difference between the first time and second
time? What open times are you seeing?

Thanks for the response.

I don't have Project server 2007 yet. I'm trying to build a case to get our
IT guys to upgrade to it. Our main problem with 2003 is the speed so if I can
show that 2007 will enhance performance then they'll go out and get the beta.

The entire I/O process is re-engineered in 2007. I haven't played with
30,000 line plans, nor do I intend to, but it's a whole new ball game with
2007. Why not download the beta and try for yourself?
