Project Server 2007 VS Potfolio Server 2007

While doing some investigation and reading about the upcoming EPM upgrades
from Microsoft I came across a question I can't seem to find and answer for.
What is the relationship of Project Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Project
Portfolio Server 2007? I see in the initial system requirements that Project
Server 2007 only requires SQL Server 2000 but Portfolio Server requires SQL
Server 2005. Is there any documentation that explains the functionality,
purpose and relationship of these different servers?
